Art Mondays - Mark Tansey "Doubting Thomas"

Mark Tansey without a doubt my favorite artist at the moment uses satire and sometimes parody to produce paintings consisting of a few lights and darks with a photo process finish. In Doubting Thomas, Tansey is mimicking the great master Caravaggio and his masterpiece "Doubting Thomas" funny and well executed Tansey has a way to get his message across like no other.

Alphaville - Jean-Luc Godard

Unmatched is Godard in his ability to make moments like this so meaningful. There isn't a Godard film that doesn't make me think deeper thoughts, its art in motion at its finest.

"For The Love of God" is being displayed at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence until May 2011
